Diane Stottlemyer - Capella's Dirty
Little Secret!
One
of Capella University's primary selling points is that they are "an
accredited online university" - just try a simple
Google
search and see how many thousands of times this phrase turns
up! Then, when you're done and ready to spend nearly two thousand
dollars on a class with one of their fine instructors, you'll
want to also know that they hire individuals, like DOCTOR Diane
Stottlemyer, to "teach" graduate level courses! The
only problem is, Diane Stottlemyer
bought her "master's degree" and "doctorate"
from a diploma mill! That's right Diane Stottlemyer bought
her "degrees" from Lacrosse University - a "school" that
is widely recognized as being a complete scam - a total fraud.
That; however, didn't stop Capella University from hiring her -
heck, they continue to allow her to "teach" - many years after
they found out! Equally disgusting is the fact that Kurt
Linberg, Capella's incompetent Dean of their School of Technology,
happens to be one of Diane's supporters at Capella and, even now,
refers to her with the bogus title,
"Doctor" Stottlemyer.
Pathetically, Diane Stottlemyer continues to worm her way into
places where she doesn't belong - all the while leaving an ever-changing
trail of "degrees" behind her. In fact, her list of "degrees" seems
to wane faster than the changing of the tides but that hasn't stopped
her. She also remains on
the "faculty" at Franklin University. While her bio there once
listed her "degrees" from Lacrosse, at the moment, she only lists
her impressive Bachelor's of General Studies (BGS) degree from
Indiana University.
It also needs to be noted that Diane
Stottlemyer is the instructor who is at the very core of the
lawsuit that has been filed against Capella University on
allegations that they intentionally violated the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) and retaliated against the student, who
they intentionally subjected to Stottlemyer's incompetence.
Disturbingly, the Diane Stottlemyer fiasco only continues to
grow and, if the latest reports (September 2005) that she is now
serving on a committee to define "accesibility standards" are true,
we will report on this outrage when our information has been confirmed.
Due to
the ever-increasing amount of information on this unscrupulous
and dishonest charlatan, we're now devoting several pages to her.

DOCTOR Diane Stottlemyer's Illustrious Publishing Career
Seldom does one find book reviews on sites such as Amazon.com
with ratings as horrible as those posted for DOCTOR Diane's "Automated
Web Testing Toolkit:_ Expert Methods for Testing and Managing
Web Applications." Interestingly, Kurt
Linberg, who is the dean and "executive director"
for not one, but two "schools" at Capella University
is one of the few to give this book a decent rating. Hmmmm...
Just taking a looking at the titles of the ratings will give the
reader an indication regarding the "quality" of this "book"
- perhaps it was DOCTOR Stottlemyer's "dissertation" at
Lacrosse University!
A sampling of some of titles for the reviews found on Amazon include:
- One of the worst books I've ever read!!
- Obsolete and Dangerously Misleading
- Should be Named "NOT Automated Web Testing"
- Expert methods? A Total Disappointment
In addition, here's
another review by the Association of C & C++
Users. That review states:
"The author [Diane Stottlemyer] is
a 'Certified software test engineer' and this book reads like
a 1980s Quality Assurance manual, which has been reworked (a little)
to weave in the latest languages and techniques. The book has
the feel of a number of different 'seminars' bolted together, in
no particular order."
Makes you want to go out and buy it right now!
